Early registration is strongly encouraged as the IPNC begins early in the morning on Friday with the opening ceremonies at 8:30 am. Registrants will pick up an event packet that includes a name badge, program, and important information regarding the event. Guests may also pick up apartment/dorm keys at this time, if applicable.
Along with amazing Pinot Noirs, the IPNC celebrates the culinary creativity blossoming in the Northwest. Round out your IPNC weekend experience with a fabulous dinner on Thursday, July 26th, hosted at an area winery or restaurant. See the list below for this year’s offerings – each experience promises to be unique and unforgettable.
The IPNC does not organize the Pre-IPNC dinners, but provides a list of the wineries and restaurants that will be hosting these dinners along with their contact information.
Pre-IPNC Dinners Will Be Announced Closer To Event

Begin the day with a wide array of locally baked breads and pastries, Oregon’s legendary berries, cured meats, and other savory items. Coffee will be provided by Portland’s Nossa Familia Coffee.
The IPNC Master of Ceremonies welcomes you to the Celebration and the Featured Winemakers are introduced.
Note: If you are group B, you will attend the vineyard tour on Saturday instead
Travel through the vine-covered countryside to a nearby Willamette Valley winery where you will enjoy a guided stroll through the vineyard, learning about the distinct characteristics of the host site. Then, engage in a small format seminar with featured winemakers. Following the vineyard tour and tasting, enjoy a multi-course lunch crafted by one of our esteemed guest chefs.
At 3:30 pm, all guests will be reunited on campus to enjoy a selection of relaxed activities (special tastings, book signings, etc.)
The first of two grand tastings in which 35 winemakers pour their Featured Pinots for you. Guests have the exciting opportunity to taste, discuss, and enjoy these featured Pinots with the winemakers who made them.
Join featured winemakers and guests from around the world as you celebrate under the stars with Pinot Noir from around the world. A quartet of northwest chefs partner to create a stunning menu of regional ingredients. Throughout the evening, IPNC sommeliers will pour an outstanding collection of wines from the IPNC wine library.

Join featured winemakers for the on-campus Lunch on the Intramural Field. Guests will enjoy a multi-course meal prepared by a trio of talented guest chefs.
Group A guests will attend one of 8 different seminars that focus on a wide array of Pinot Noir related topics. These small-format seminars are intended to provide IPNC guests with an intimate environment to learn directly from wine professionals. The course guide, with subjects in geology, history, chemistry, geography, etc., is viewable here. Once announced, guests are responsible for selecting the seminar they would like to attend prior to the event via our online enrollment system.

A long-standing tradition of the IPNC, the Salmon Bake dramatically showcases wild salmon roasted on alder stakes over a huge custom-built fire pit. Bask in the warm glow of a lantern lit Oak Grove where cellared Pinot Noir and wines from around the world will accompany an extravagant outdoor buffet designed by local chefs, followed by an extraordinary assortment of hand-crafted desserts. After dinner, relax to music and dancing under the stars.
Raise your glass in a festive toast as you bid farewell to the IPNC! Savor our sumptuous buffet brunch prepared by guest chefs and paired with fine Champagne and sparkling wines.
This annual outdoor tasting showcases Pinot noir from over 70 wineries worldwide. Guests are provided an Oregon Pinot Noir glass at the start of the afternoon and are set free to sip and sample throughout the Oak Grove. In addition to extraordinary winemakers, top-notch Northwest chefs prepare divine dishes to accompany the unparalleled array of international Pinot Noir. This is a unique opportunity to meet some of the world’s finest Pinot Noir winemakers and the northwest’s most talked-about chefs at Oregon’s largest outdoor wine tasting.
Full Weekend guests may purchase tickets to Passport to Pinot, however, all wines served during the Sunday afternoon Passport to Pinot tasting will have been offered during the Alfresco tastings and at other times throughout the Full Weekend.
